Sorry that this is late. One part irl, two parts just being a really inept mod.

Okay! This is only going to be a baby AC, because it's the first one and because of the LJ mess. Later checks will need two proofs, one from each month.

This one needs one - link to one proof of activity (a linkshell post or log you've posted or ten or more comments in someone else's), here or on LJ, from any time between the start of the game and now. I'm pretty sure everyone in the game can make this, I'm mostly just checking who we've lost to the move.

Kain Torture Month Phantom Fever

Centuries ago, another world split in two and sealed the rift between its halves. The town of Phantom Village was sealed with it, forgotten by the world for a thousand years.

A man arrives in the underworld, claiming to be from a place called Phantom Village. This place has been sealed away for a thousand years - its natives have a culture completely untouched by any part of any other world.

And, unfortunately, he is ill with a sickness that nobody in any other world has ever experienced or developed a resistance to.

This event will start shortly. Basically, an illness will begin to spread. It's up to you whether you want your characters to actually catch it, the actual being ill part of this event is entirely opt-in, but the world as a whole will be affected by attempts to cure or contain the illness.

Incidentally, anyone who signed up for the Healers? This is going to be a hellish month for you.

The symptoms of the illness are being left vague and 'decide on it for yourself'-y, mostly to allow anyone with specific grossouts/triggers to avoid things they don't want to read/write about. If you are going to go into grossout detail about symptoms, please label/put it behind a cut to be considerate to your fellow players! It can be as mild or severe as you like.

I was going to kick this off on the 14th so that I could go HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, ENJOY YOUR HORRIBLE ILLNESS. But I have a different little event in mind for that.

Luca is going to be ill early on, but not badly. She'll be freaked out by it, because anything getting past dwarf immune systems is pretty scary, but she'll be on call with the Falcon to get people to members of the healers or vice-versa.

Porom isn't going to be struck until very late in the month, when it'll be starting to die down. And she's going to be in kind of an awful state. But being Porom she's going to try to avoid infecting people and keep working anyway. Someone may need to nag her. Until then, she's going to be HEALSPAM ALL THE THINGS, as well as trying to organize the healers so they're in a position to be able to help as much as possible.

Scott I don't actually have any plans for right now. ANY REQUESTS?

And as an unrelated thing. Do people prefer that future evens are kept ~secret~ or that they're revealed earlier?

As for Scott, I don't have any requests, though if he does get sick Hilda will be doing a lot of worrying about him, and will probably become exhausted sooner herself.

Pretty much! For most of the month she's going to be healthy (if very, very overworked), but it's going to sneak up on her toward the end of the event in a really bad way. I'm kind of tempted to give her hallucinations as a symptom/result of exhaustion

If he does get sick, he'll be more worried about not losing his voice than anything else. Because Scott's priorities, what. And poor Hilda D:

I like knowing and planning, but that's just me! It's also not a huge thing if it's kept secret, either, so I'm cool either way. I know it was fun knowing about this month of torture coming up. XD

Oh! Question for you, after they drag Kain out of the crystal, will he still be sick/other things wrong? I think I remember you mentioning they revive in a state of "need a white mage fast but no longer fatal"?

He'll still have the injuries from being caught in the Shinryu and Omega crossfire, but being sick is up to you! If you're bored with it by then, feel free to NOPE, DONE WITH BEING SICK.

It was more because I wanted to keep him sick, at least if the plot is still on when he revives! /horrible XD

But I guess that will also depend on timing and how quickly they do that going into the crystal thing. Is there anything about how long getting people out of crystals should take? (Maybe I should be asking this at the FAQ!)

ICly, there should be a few days before whichever you want rescuing him get 'dude I'm stuck in here what' dreams. You can do those as a post in the comm if you want! Then you set up a thread for dragging him out. It should take a week or until the 'dragging him out' log is finished, whichever happens first.

The obstacles in the 'dragging him out' log are up to you, they could be FIGHTAN or DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT or KAIN IS KIND OF A STUBBORN DICK or all three or whatever (more revivals mean it'll get harder, but that doesn't come into play yet) but it shouldn't be an easy task. The place they're dragging him out of is made up of his memories, which means that as a dissidia character there's an extra detail you need to know. I'll plurk it at you~

Oh man SO MANY POSSIBILITIES for this, Kain has so many issues and potential areas from his world or 012 to go with... I may have to save some for the future if I come up with more than one I like!
