Summary of plot so far, activity and January event!
Activity Checks
Activity checks will start January 31st. After this, they'll be once every two months from the last day of the month until the 7th of the next.
Requirements will be two proofs, each 10 comments in a single thread or 15 across multiple threads, one from each month. Because of the whole moving clusterfuck, January's check will only require one proof, from January.
I think we may have lost some people with the LJ > DW move, but I'm not sure how many. I won't cut anyone from the game until after the AC, just to make sure I'm not removing anyone who's just struggling to catch up.
A Summary
So! Some people have complained about feeling a little lost with the combination of the holidays and the move. So here's a quick summary of where we are so far!
In late November, characters found themselves in the underworld. Most were brought to the surface by the dwarves, but a small group remained in the underworld to investigate the Feymarch in search of the Eidolons, beings of great power who should answer the call of thier summoners but who presently weren't.
There they found Asura, the Eidolon Queen, drained of her power. Her court had arrived in the world in a state of imprisonment and she had expended all the strength she had to release them. Sadly the only way she'd been able to save them was by destroying their physical forms and allowing them to reform at the crystals. They should have returned, but something was keeping them from reforming completely.
At the same time, people began having strange dreams.
Groups investigated each crystal to find the cause of the problem. There they travelled to the borders of the eidolon's consciousness, only to find the path guarded by a blue-haired woman in a long white dress. Despite being warned about this foe previously, they found the battle surprisingly easy. The eidolons were freed and left to return to Queen Asura's court.
Another group travelled to the Tower of Babil in search of clues. Instead they found the head office of The Sunday PomPom and a whole lot of moogles. The moogles then proceeded to print a very unflattering article on their inability to respect personal property or dress themselves.
After these incidents Princess Luca of the Dwarves and Porom of Mysidia established the Talons, a group dedicated to protecting those who could not protect themselves and offering support to those who could, and the healers, whose name is rather self-explanatory, respectively. And then the snow began.
For two weeks, blizzards covered the entire world. Eventually, the monsters that were causing the storms were found and dealt with. The snow began to stop.
An Event
But not a major one. Just a little one to help people get back onto their feet.
Unlike the rest of the world, Troia's land is known for being bountiful year-round. Even the recent snow failed to kill the ever-ripe crops. This, they seem to have decided, along with the need to bring tourists to the country again, is reason enough for celebration.
Welcome to the Wolf Moon Festival
Entertainers have been found, the dwarves and breeders of black chocobos have been brought in to help transport people. There will be games and food and stalls and fortune telling of dubious accuracy and, this being Troia, a whole lot of dancing. It's become a tradition among the children of Troia to trick hapless armour-wearers into entering the Lodestone Caverns with stories of lost treasures for those who seem greedy and lost siblings for those who seem gullible.
I'll be putting up a big thread for this shortly after I put up this newspost, but feel free to make your own threads/do whatever/ignore it completely.
